NASCAR driver Michael Waltrip was already on thin ice with Toyota coporate. He has now been charged with reckless driving and leaving the scene of an accident. I can easily see Toyota ending any association with his NASCAR team after his incident.

It would make sense if he was drunk. Why else would he wreck his car, go home, and not do anything about it? If he wasnt drunk, and wanted to get away with it, he would have had that thing towed out of there. Wierd regardless.....

Yes. I saw that Land Cruiser a few months ago in an interview on the Discovery channel or something..... He was driving it while talking to the reporters... I didn't see it from outside but it was definately a 2002-2006 something from what it looked like from the interior.

Waltrip is an idiot, plain and simple. I hope Toyota cuts all ties with him because he has been nothing but trouble for them.
Waltrip and Jarrett havent impressed me, but David Reutimann has done better than I expected. He has made most of the races and actually ran near the front on several occasions.
Waltrip is a great salesman and spokesman because he is enthusiastic and charismatic, but he definetely isnt much of a driver anymore and he has show that he doesnt have much common sense either, IMO...
