The route Fujita, Spectre, and even K&N will probably take judging by the 4cyl Fujita intake pics

Where the filter sits... to suck in all the cold air it can get:cool:

and finally, a side view
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g124/Netforcer/P4290288.jpg

I must say that the car pull a lot harder than when I had the SRI set up... hopefully it'll be even more once I get a new filter... now I just need to learn to ease off the accelerator to save on some gas

Its a shame you didnt get before and after dyno pulls. Id be interested to see what gains there are. And no, unfortunatly, I dont trust the butt dyno. Wishful thinking plays to be a part in that number. Looks good though man, really good. You used spectre parts didnt you?

Very,very nice!
Is the car noticeably quicker?
Also would that add on void the warranty?

Good and clean job man. My question is the battery too, how did you mount the (ghetto)box sideways in the spot where it used to be? Does it wabble wabble??:) and why a cheap foam filter spend a lil more on the filter and get a water bypass valve if you can, its a cheap assurance.
Oh btw what side is your piping?
Thanks

Garen

Thanks for your comments guys

lets see tubing is from here and there... half from spectre, bent tubes are 45 and 90 degree aluminum tubes

battery is held down by the , now known as ghetto box and zipties that hold down the negative end.

I don't trust but dynos either, cuz they're biased... I wanted to do some comparative driving yesterday with fellow TN members running stock to the CP meet, but no one but akira showed up. A dyno was set up at the show too, akira and I were both tempted (use him as a baseline and me with intake) but we backed down...

No dynos for me until I get my exhaust done, which is second on my list
rims being the next on the list

the ghetto box itself is mounted via two screws at the bottom, I used a strip of aluminum with a hole at each end to act like as a brace. No it does not wobble. the negative battery cable and ziptie holds it down firmly

and yes the foam filter will go and an apexi power filter will replace it.

One question. Is the warranty now voided?

Netforcer
04-30-2007, 09:05 PM
why would it be voided?

Federal LAW (Magnussen-Moss Act) spells this out:

In short, the manufacturer or Dealer (acting as the manufacturer's agent) MUST PROVE that the installation of an aftermarket part caused the related failure of an OEM part. They CANNOT VOID your entire warranty for repairs unrelated to the use of aftermarket parts or accesories REGARDLESS OF WHO INSTALLED THEM.

Did Fujita come out with a CAI? I thought it still "work in progress" like other companies. :sosad:

Nothing on their website yet...

http://www.f5air.com/index2.html

And how about they keep the duffel bag and hat and charge $200 for the kit :D

They're even showing a V6 kit on Ptuning.com...price and availability TBA.
