humanoid 06-21-2007, 07:39 PM Got mine up on my '99. Had to snip the TN logo off because my slider isn't big enough to accommodate the length of the sticker. Now I gotta figure out where to put the TN logo! As I was peeling off the paper, the "T" in "COMMUNITY" got stuck to it and I had to use a pair of tweesers (sp?) to put it back where it belong. Enough of me babbling, here's the pic.

A guy at work calls me "Captain URD" (pronounced 'uhrrrrd')
rydr1 06-23-2007, 01:24 PM when i first heard of the size i thought it would be to small but it is just perfect.
http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r80/rydr1/06-23-07_0829.jpg
tonythemarine 06-23-2007, 03:42 PM The large decal is not in one piece! Mine is screwed up.....very difficult to put on. I had to trash mine, couldn't get the letters apart correctly and one of them ripped. So for those who ordered this one be careful. No TN decal for me damnit.
LOL good thing i read your post before puttin mine on. yea. it's a B**ch! i almost lost an 'a' and a 't'.... came out kinda crooked tho o well.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v227/USMCBOY/tn.jpg
Couldn't find the video camera...too bad because it would have been much easier to understand with the vid camera. Anyways here we go...
Start by gathering your supplies, all you need is tape, a credit card or putty knife if you prefer and your decal. You might also need a safety pin (not shown) for getting the air out later if you need it.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v439/titanium878/Sticker/supplies.jpg
Prepare and clean the location where you are applying the decal. I just used a sponge and water nothing special. DO NOT USE WINDEX, Toku stated earlier that there is something about these decals that doesn't like windex and it wont stick properly.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v439/titanium878/Sticker/dirtyglass.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v439/titanium878/Sticker/wetglass.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v439/titanium878/Sticker/cleanglass.jpg
Start by putting one or two pieces of tape on the side of the decal that will be furthest from you this will make it easier later so you don't need friggin three hands to get the thing started. Also I found that the edges were folded over on mine so you're gonna have to remember to unfold the edges before.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v439/titanium878/Sticker/tape.jpg
Line up the decal make sure it's level and EXACTLY where you want it before the next step because YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO REPOSITION IT LATER WITHOUT A LOT OF DIFFICULTY. Also the more times you unstick the decal the less sticky it will become and you wont be able to put it back on or it wont bond to the glass like it should.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v439/titanium878/Sticker/lineup.jpg
Remove the backing that is protecting the sticky side of the decal.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v439/titanium878/Sticker/removebacking0.jpg
Take your credit card/putty knife and angle it away from you and slowly smooth the decal onto the window while holding the part that you haven't applied yet away from the window. Use the edge of the credit card to apply the decal to the window this will help prevent bubbles. (I did this before taking the picture sorry it's a two handed process and my camera is too big to fit in my mouth )
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v439/titanium878/Sticker/smoothrightway.jpg
Once you apply the decal fully take the card/putty knife and go over the decal to smooth it more and make sure all parts of the decal are sticking to the glass. Do this a few times just to be sure. DO NOT SMOOTH THE DECAL WITH THE CREDIT CARD ANGLED IN THE DIRECTION YOU ARE SMOOTHING!!! If you do this the edge of the card could catch the paper and rip off part of your decal. Always point the edge of the card in the opposite direction your hand is moving. If I was pulling towards me this would be the wrong way:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v439/titanium878/Sticker/smoothwrongway.jpg
Next start removing the final protective backing, you could start on ether side but it's easier to start on the side without the tape. Double the backing over on itself and peel away SLOWLY making sure none of the letters come off.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v439/titanium878/Sticker/removebacking1.jpg
Once you pull off enough start pulling the backing off over itself at a 45 degree angle upwards. This will help keep letters from coming off.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v439/titanium878/Sticker/removebacking2.jpg
Try to keep you hands as close to the letters as possible. GO SLOW take your time...if a letter starts peeling off then stop and take you finger and help it get off the backing then smooth it out with your finger.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v439/titanium878/Sticker/removebacking3.jpg
If you find you still got air bubbles after all this then you can take a safety pin or any pin really.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v439/titanium878/Sticker/safetypin.jpg
Poke a hole in the edge of the air bubble just enough to punture the bubble not enough to make a huge hole.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v439/titanium878/Sticker/pinprick.jpg
Use your finger to push out the air towards the bubble and smooth the decal.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v439/titanium878/Sticker/rubbing.jpg
rinse and repeat with all the air bubbles if needed.
You should end up with a smooth looking decal without bubbles
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v439/titanium878/Sticker/noair.jpg
Stand back and enjoy your beautiful decal :D

5hurik3n 08-22-2007, 05:19 PM Thanks Toku for your dilligence. I recieved my full decal today, If it was a 1/8th of an inch shorter with the TN part cut off it would have fit like a glove. I dont know what's going to happen with the other half of the m on .com but It looks fantastic. Half furthest leg of the m is touching the rubber around my back window. I will take pics tonight, i put the cut off part on my tailgate. Thanks alot! Great sticker, fast shipment!
thx.
here is a photo if it works

toku58 10-22-2007, 03:42 AM sure! PM me.
boone 11-25-2007, 07:50 AM Wow I guess I really dropped the ball on not selling these decals. At least my rendering is going to good use on the "TN".
AlphaKennyOne 01-03-2008, 04:20 PM are these still available for sale? wasn't around when they first started selling and am very interested.. sent you a pm
toku58 01-03-2008, 05:03 PM They are on going. (Until VS gets the TN store up and running) Just send me the payment and I'll get one out to you!
81shark 01-03-2008, 06:11 PM i'll gladly rent you advertising space on my truck if you send me a cling on decal.
It only runs $10 per month.
Based on my driving habits, thats only $0.00923 per mile driven. Traffic is plenty heavy here so you should be getting a good bang for buck return.
:)

Sorry, I just saw this today! Its my neighbor's Land Rover Freelander. The cover of the spare tire is from the local Land Rover dealer and its a lion pictured on there. The Freelander is like a small SUV which seems a little strange to me being a Land Rover. Thats what city folk buy for going on safari!

SMEbay 01-21-2008, 04:34 AM hey guys,
been playing around with this for a while, just haven't had the chance to post.
came up with this shortly after site changed.
if i can get everything to line up on the vinyl printer it will look like this with black being clear.
this would not be dif colors of cut vinyl. it would be printed on clear (one piece)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v316/friddle_family/BLACK%20CAT/toyotanationcom-test.jpg
and just the TN (maybe)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v316/friddle_family/BLACK%20CAT/TN-only-LOGO.jpg
have not made any up yet, just putting out a feeler to see what you think.
Wow - just saw this. Not sure which one I like better, but I do like the idea of having it all on a clear vinyl... idiot-proof goes a long way with me!
Can you make the small print extend the entire length? Looks a little unbalanced?
AlphaKennyOne 01-24-2008, 06:38 PM how 'bout this?
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v316/friddle_family/BLACK%20CAT/TN-LOGO2.jpg
I like the look of these... definitely got my vote...
can we get an estimate on cost? and what kind of sizes would we be lookin at?
toku58 01-24-2008, 09:01 PM Yeah I was talking to the guy at the shop where I get the others cut. He said they will be able to make it on clear as a one piece decal, in about a month.
He told me the cost would be way less then the cut vinyl ones.
I'm not sure yet? He has to get back to me.
But the design that sock is using is a Nice decal.
Hey sock if you do it I think it needs to be silk screened on to the clear? That's hat the shop said.
06trdtacoma 01-25-2008, 08:40 PM I wonder if it would be possible to come up with a winshield decal. I would definitely rock that!
eyedoc 01-25-2008, 08:49 PM hey sock...
I want Summa those.... pm me with details on how to get two of these badazz stickaz.
Good work!
toku58 01-25-2008, 08:54 PM here is what it looks like on my truck.
this will be about as fragile as the original ones with the small letters
ultimately it would be great to have printed on one piece of vinyl
(EDIT: forgot to say, these will be $10 shipped)
