97 T100 Steering Wheel

Anyone know what steering wheels will fit a T100? I have a 97 T100 auto with cruise and the vinyl cover on my steering wheel is all torn up. I've been looking on car-part.com but not many have blue ones and the ones that do list them are not in good condition. I'm guessing that a 4 Runner or Tacoma would fit but surprisingly the jyds I've called can't tell me that info - I know that jyds used to have a huge interchange bible but maybe not everyone has this. I thought maybe a local automotive upholstery shop could do the job but they all seem to ship them out somewhere and it takes 2-3 weeks to get it done - yikes. Anyway, I'd prefer not to use a steering wheel cover so if anyone knows what wheels will fit I'll start hammering jyds in search of one. Thanks!

yup - air bag and cruise control on this one

I saw a T100 on cardomain and the guy had a wood steering wheel from a Lexus - so I'm wondering if there are more interchanges then just the Tacoma and 4-Runner.

Almost any Toyota steering wheel will fit, the issue is the air bag. Went through this myself. A 1997 4 runner wheel looks awesome, but the spokes on the wheel are off just enough to keep the original air bag from fitting. Seems the wheel spokes vary depending on the model. If you can get the air bag along with the wheel for a fair price(most air bags go for $80-$100.00). Your other option is Wheelskins. They are a sew on wheel cover in leather. They take some work, but look good. They also make the wheel bigger in diameter. Still looking for a decent Tan for mine.

does the 4runner airbag connect to the stock t100 airbag ?? I found a nice 4 runner wheel that comes with the cruise controlls and such that looks pretty sweet.

I wonder how hard it would be to integrate radio steering wheel controls and the cruise...

The wheel will fit. The issue is the air bag. The spokes on the steering wheel are off just enough so you original air bag will not fit. You would have to find an air bag that fits that year and model of 4Runner. I tried to use a 1999 4 Runner wheel, and had that issue, but could not get the junkyard to sell me just the air bag. The later model vehicles have two air bags, and they usually want to sell them as a pair.
