95 camry
stock speakers are 6 ohms
the speakers i have, are from an rsx, stock, bose 4 ohms.

can the amp handle the extra power, result of less imped.

ive gotten mixed answers.....

if i install 2 of the bose in series... with 8 ohms total resistance...
i know ill get less sound out of them, b/c power wil be less... but will this help my stock amp?

or can i wire the 2 new rear speakers to my 2 channel JBL amp ?

My guess is that the amp may overheat and then go into protect if you only had a 4 ohm load on there.

Depends on how much safety margin was built into the amp. The extra heat could be a problem. But in general I'd doubt it. It mostly depends on how much you crank it way up.
