So does this mean MSRP is getting slashed?

My reading of the wording is that the new standard equipment will be added at little or no increase in Base Price. This still allows them to join in the incentives battle with the other 3 if necessary.

Awesome news! Looks like the Tundra will be even more competitive with the 2008 models.

Where did you get the inside scoop on that? Also, when will they be out. The dealer I spoke with the other day seemed to think it would be soon. However, I figured they would make the 07 until the end of the year to boost first year numbers.

This says that production should start in October and the trucks should arrive in November-December.

Only speculation and hints on the diesel. I'd look for it during the 2009 MY to fight the new F150 and new RAM that will be out that year. 12-18 months maybe?

More good news for a great product.

I hope that they end up having a really good diesel engine. If they do, the Tundra diesel may be the first and last truck that I'll ever buy.

Nonetheless, Toyota says development of a diesel-powered Tundra is "completed."

1. The "Tundra Grade" still isn't a true work truck, unfortunately. No vinyl seats or floors available. But the good news is there is a plane-Jane version times 13 for 2008.

2. Bucket seats and 6-CD changers are now standard on SR5's. TRD offroad will DOUBLE in price due to demand.

3. See #2 for OF packages.

4. The new "matte" finish front end won't be out until early next year for the work truck. It will have chrome bumper option, though.

5. 44 total model numbers now.
