If my numbers are correct, Toyota needs to sell an average of 20,600 Tundras for October, November and December for them to meet the 200,000 units sold this year. The best month the Tundra has had was July, which they sold 23,000 Tundra's (very generous incentives mind you).

Since May (full line-up, Crew Max included), Toyota has sold 101,000 Tundra's, for an average of 20,200 per month. . . . . .seems like Toyota is on pace to meet it's goal of 200,000 Tundra's this year.

I see a lot of them on the road now. The design is the most impressive out there especially as compared to the Chevy's full size. I hope they do something about that Chevy front soon. Looks too ugly. The GMC version is still a little better but does not come close to the Tundra's front, side or the back view...

The Chevy does have it's odd angles, I think the GMC looks best of all in my opinion then Dodge, Tundra, Chevy, Titan, Ford.

Yay for Tundra!! So cool!
Anyway have any of you see that new Chevy ad? There is this guy with a Tundra on the side of the road cause he ran out of gas:rolleyes: So the guy in the Chevy picks him up. Then he comes up to another guy with an F-150 cause he ran out of gas. Cause the Chevy has class leading 20mpg!! I just found it humorous that a company would capitlize mpg with a full-sized truck, not to say it isn't legit but that's like trying to sell towing capacity for an ECHO:lol::lol::lol::lol:

And 0-60 time is more relevant than MPG?

If they do hit the 200K mark it will be by a whisker. 4th Qtr is not the strongest so averaging 20K a month in this market is a longshot IMO.

Jan and Feb were 'lost' months in the sales of this new model so it really was a 10 month year.

Well, I think that chevy ad is right on the spot, cause all the time toyota sells himself as a fuel-efficient brand, so a little spoon of his own medicine aint bad right?

speaking of ads, anyone seen the new F-150 ones where its running through a slalom course boasting it has the biggest this, the best that? umm, why are they testing an old design vehicle now? worried a bit, ford?

With sales dropping as much as they have this year they better be worried. Toyota really set the new bar for tv ad's, Ford has been coming out with a lot of 'actual demonstration' ad's recently.

I've seen a Titan "actual demonstration" as well, although it had small print that said (chain tightening enhanced for effect), ha!

I usually enjoy the adds, but eventually they will just become noise because everyone will be doing it.

Do your own research. I suggest you go to "google.com" its called a "search engine" you can search incentives/days supply/sales numbers.

During the summer, the GMC's were not selling at my dealership. I rarely ever saw more than 3 per week, which is extremely bad since my dealer is extremely well respected in my town and we have a 85% return customer rate. Lately, we have been selling about 2 or 3 per day. However, there are still alot of 07's on the lot. With major discounts in the window of course!

I was at the Toyota dealer not long ago near me and there were a lot of older (not by much-previous gen models) Chevy trucks there, certified used trucks. Looks like some Chevy owners are trading their truck in for the Tundra?? Or smaller car but I would guess another truck, maybe even the Tacoma. I just thought that was interesting.
