Hello gang!

Here are some pics of our Rally beast! The car is almost all prepped up as our opener is in 3 weeks for the Richmond, Quebec, Sprint Rally. The car is a 1989 4x4 AE95 Corolla and the engine is a 7a-ge conversion. By our local engineers fancy calculations, our mill should be producing 150 hp with 130 lbs of torque. Bare in mind that the 4ag head on it has well over 900$ in machining.

More pics to come!!

Does anyone else here participate in Rally events with their own modified rally car? I myself will be the co-pilot of our project car.

The engine was a blast to build up by the way. Anyone of you have attempted the 7age conversion too?

Would be interested in your impressions and comments.

Rolla Pat dans le dash! That's what I looked like too last summer stripping apart one of my MR2's. Now I really want to go to Maniwaki in 2 weeks, it actually works out because I'll have my reading week starting. Who actually reads? You've got mail...

I'm on crew for a VW team at the moment, trying to acquire either a Nice straitbody Jetta or AE86 for my own car. Anybody know of any good deals? Drop me a line!

Hope to see you on the stages.

Anyone wanting to go spectate the 2002 Rallye Perce Neige in Maniwaki PQ, drop me an email at derek@eol.ca since I am planning to attend. Drive is approx 5.5 hours as Maniwaki is 1.5 hours north of Ottawa in the Gatineau region. Visit the official Perce Neige 2002 site at: http://www.lino.com/~rallyperceneige/

Thought I recognized your email, saw your ad on the MLRC site... Haven't gone to any meetings forever, Jover actually still has my club sticker on the coupe I sold. Are you staying at Motel Maniwaki too?

I'm just getting into rallying myself... obviously I'm going to start with TSDs with Stage rallies 1-2 years down the road.

I drive a 4Runner but I don't really want to use that for rallying 'cause it's more setup for off-roading. I have a Corolla too but, I want to keep that one stock and mint, since it's a '72.

So... right now, I'm looking for a Corolla of some sort (AE86-AE92) that I can use as a daily driver, auto-xer and rally car.
