I need your opinion about the SE grill please!

Hi. My name is Peach. You all already know me and my car. So I was wondering...

Im going to get the SE Grill in a week. The thing is, I'm deciding whether to get the grill in my bodycolor gray or black.

I searched the threads, and found a silver camry with the black grill, and I thought it looked good. IMO, I think black on gray would make my grill look bigger in a sense and better? But I also like to hear your opinions, to get a every perspective and reasoning behind it.

+1, that goes with your more aggressive stretched tires and larger than average drop. The meshed SE grille will look darker anyway even when color matched.

sure go with the black, its not too far from your color anyways i bet it will barely be noticeable..

then you can get.. black wheels, darker tint, blacked out tails and headlight.. we know that with enough encouragement youll buy anything, Peach;):D

I say go with gray. Black is going to look like you were just too lazy to paint the grill. Like those kids with the primered bumpers. :lol:

Black might be OK, since the grille, of course, is black, too. I don't think I'd like that for any other color, but for grey, it might be OK.

I'd say, "go find a grey SE picture and photoshop it," filling the frame with black. Then you'd be able to get a pretty good preview of what it would look like....

I'd go for the magnetic gray as well.

custom.. just make a grill, make one to match your wheels. that would be pretty sick

Thanks, I'm not a huge chrome fan but I also didn't like the stock LE grille. IMO what I did added a touch of class, without going overboard on chrome.

I also added fog lights so that adds to the touch as well :)

I vote get any color, and paint the entire car safety orange for a unique look. :D

If your theme is subtle I would stay with grey to match OEM.
But your style is very aggressive (your rims + very low dropped) that why I voted for the black grille. That black grille will make your car more aggressive which flows with your theme.

for some really weird reason, my car is not very photogenic. I think its my rims. It looks a lot darker in pics. In real life, its bright gold.

When MCeatalot came to see my car in life, he loved it. It looks a lot better in person actually. Thanks for ur advice lammy. I'll go ahead w/ the black grill and we'll see how it turns out. Thanks!

I was going to go with the SE grille also after I finish my current mod. I tried real real hard to picture the black vs gray.....and my vote still stays the same.

What do you guys think? My car is Magnetic Gray, so the border won't be that obvious, but hopefully, subtle?

hey peach if you want a black grille my suggestion is to just get your std grille painted black, that'd be nicer, because for the SE grille, the mesh part is already black anyway, to have linings around the grille black too would your car that unpainted look which is uncool imo, but yeah if you really want se grille get it colour coded :thumbup:

Peach, I think the contrast looks cool in the pic because you look at the car in an angled way. However, if you look at the big "hollow looking" grille from the front, it probably won't look that cool. I would still vote for the gray one. Instead, I think a gray grille would look pretty interesting on a black car.:lol:

Me too. I like tOeknee's thought process and I see where he was trying to go with the grille...

It's almost like the grille was "almost" there, but didn't quite cut it.

LOL. yeah good thing u have some people who tried things. i wouldnt have slapped that grill on if it was gunna end up like that, made the grille look like a big open hole. i was embarrassed driving it for a while
