'95 T-100 Tires and Wheels...

Hello,

I am new to this forum, and this is my first post.

I have a 1995 Toyota T-100, currently with stock rims and 31X10.50X15 BF Goodrich ATs. I have had these tires for many years, they were great, but they need replacment.

I am trying to find options, and have been struggling with finding wheels. My local tire shops have told me just to go online, if I do not want the single option they have for me. Any suggestions on finding wheels, I have looked at TireRack, Discount Tire and the like, and everything is so flashy, I just want something simple.

Once I have the wheels identified, then it off to tireland. I am looking at:

Yokohama Geolandar A/T - S Plus II
Firestone Destination A/T
BFG T/A KO
Pirelli Scorpion ATR
My driving is mostly pavement, as my Jeep sees most of the off-road action, but I want to have good performance in snow and off road when I go. Does anyone have an opinion on these options.

Thanks,

Dave

I have the Yokohama Geolander A/T-S LT235x15-75R...didn't know they made a Plus II series. :D

The tires works great...pretty quiet on the road. Sometimes it gits noisy when I'm on cement. I believe I've lost about 2mpg on the road at stock tire pressures. If I bump them up to 40/45 (front/rear) it seems to be closer to my standard range of about 22mpg. Not bad fer a 1993 V6 3.slow! Even though the tires are rated at 40,000 miles...I seem to be doing pretty good with the wear rate as I've only had them fer a year now and have over 20,000 miles on them so far. :D

What rim size were you looking at? 15"? 16"? 17"? Do you currently had have the steel ones or the alloys on yer truck? The steels that came with the truck when I got it were bent up so I ended up gitting some cheap alloys fer about $150 shipped. :D

Thanks for the input. My tires are 15". Can you tell me where you found your rims, I have not had much luck?

I got them off of eBay and spent about $10 fer the chrome acorn style lug nuts. I got lucky on those deals about 2yrs ago. :D

You could shop craigslist fer yer area or eBay...but with eBay...yer gonna pay about $50 or higher fer shipping. :( You could even try the local tire repair places...they seem to have a lot of used rims. Even the parts yard might be a shot but you'd be gambling that they were the right size and they were still "true" and unbent. :(
