Alarm on 96 T100

Is there a trick to the alarm on the T100? Mine is an automatic, and if I don't open the door with the keyless remote, the alarm will go off in a couple of seconds. There are two buttons on the remote, the top locks and unlocks, but I don't know what the bottom button does. I'd like to disconnect the alarm altogether but it goes to the horn. Any suggestions?

I'm thinking the bottom button is arm/disarm... ;)

You might open up the remote to make sure the button is still working... :D
