Sunroofs optional on T100s?

I found a local 1997 T100 that has a sunroof. The owner says it was a rare factory option, but I was told by someone that sunroofs were never factory options on the Toyota T100s. Does anyone else know if this is true?

I did see a rare factory install kit for the T-100 on ebay once. It had all the Toyota printing on the box and had the stock numbers. But that's as good as I git... ;)

my 1995 sr5 has a sweet factory sunroof and it still works.

Interesting that I logged on after this was posted.

Was it a factory installed sunroof, or a dealer installed one?

I have seen other Tacomas with a sunroof, but not T100s. :confused:

I can't imagine a dealer doing a job like this. Mine is a retractable electic unit.
With a sliding fabric interior cover.

I have an electric sunroof with sliding fabric piece under it on my 97. Still looks and works like new but no idea if its from the factory or not. I'd be interested to know if this was a factory option too.

I've been thinking of puting in a sunroof on my T.

On my 95, it was stock/optional on a SR5 edition.

I am curious if the optional sunroof was the type that either folded up or down and back into the headliner, thats the type I like. The type I've seen is more of a moonroof, it pops up only.

It did go up and into the headliner. Unfortunately, I traded it a year ago go for and FJ Cruiser so...no pictures available. 1995 T100 SR5 Extended Cab

I had to ask fer piccies of this one since it's being sold at a dealership. It has a leather interior, too! ;)

The only real way would be to have them send you a piccie of the interior of the sun/moonroof... ;)

Now I'm curious... that sunroof T looks to have a fabric headliner. My 97 sr5 w/ bucket seats has a vinyl headliner. Did anyone have a fabric headliner without a sunroof?
