Razo-E 06-16-2008, 12:29 PM I saw the Toyota Venza for the 2nd time today, same spot, so I'm sure it's the same one..
It doesn't have camouflage, but it had New York, or Michigan plates..
still a test mule, or what..?
humanoid 06-16-2008, 06:10 PM Did you see it in the South Bay somewhere, near Toyota corporate?
akira751 06-16-2008, 08:25 PM They have a few examples driving the country, they have been driving them to dealer meetings around the country to show.
ECHOKnight2000 06-16-2008, 08:53 PM Well it already debut so its no secret what it looks like. Just that 2.7ltr I-4 is the mystery. Oh and I guess pricing.
Razo-E 06-17-2008, 01:04 AM probably a 3AZ-FE..?
It was in Gardena, but not that near the Corporate center...

See my test mule spotted thread in the Venza forum.
Since posting that I've seen it many times disguised.
2 weeks ago I saw a black one not disguised except for black tape over all the emblems.
Managed to snap a couple quick shots and verified at home that it was indeed the Vensa.
The next week it was back in CAMO again.
Tideland Prius 06-17-2008, 10:52 PM Not yet. It's slated for a fall launch.

got-rice 06-19-2008, 02:45 AM sounds like TTC (Toyota Technical Center) is testing the Venzas, and they're a few blocks up from TMS off Western Ave & 186th St(?) in Gardena. Most of their test vehicles run with Michigan manufacturer plates.
Camread 06-22-2008, 12:47 PM sure its the venza and not the edge/mark z? ;)

I took pictures and compared them to the Toyota site pictures. Tail lights bumpers and exhaust all match.
It is a Venza.

Probably weather testing. Hot weather/cold weather testing. As well as other real world road tests. To see what they made and engineered lived up and to see its limits and capabilities. Also how the vehicle deals with certain environments and driving conditions.
