TORONTO — Toyota Canada announced Tuesday it's lowering the manufacturer's suggested retail price on three Toyota and eight Lexus models.
The reductions will range from $1,350 for the RAV4 to $7,900 for the Lexus SC series and will apply regardless of whether the vehicle is leased or purchased, the company said in a news release.

This is great news....unless you bought a Lexus this month, then you're bummed...in more ways that one.

Or bought an 08 Prius with the already reduced $29,500 price. All of these vehicles already had price reductions. Methinks these are the compartively slower selling models. (Yes even the Prius cause there are a lot more TCHs being bought)

Too bad the Camry and IS didn't get price reductions. And omg the Highlander is very affordable now. For such a big car, its really relatively cheap.

Yeah it's a pretty good value. They didn't lower the HiHy's price though.
Kinda sucks cause beforehand, a HiHy Limited costs a few hundred more than a Highlander Limited V6 b/c of all the rebates so the HiHy was the better deal. Now the Highlander Limited V6 is $2k less plus we're gonna lose the $2k rebate which then makes the gap $4,000.

The IS months ago received a huge price reduction and the Camry's price so far is quite competitive. Any lower for the IS though and Toyota might as well start giving them away. Camry prices *might* drop for the 2010 model year, who knows.

Yeah I know about that, however cars are not cheap items, and they can never be too cheap. And for the Camry that I want (V6 SE leather) its still above 40k after tax. It'd be very nice if dropped below that bar.
The Lexus IS price drop was quite significant, it dropped the IS350 below the luxury tax bracket. Still can't afford it yet.
Also what happens when new car prices drop is, the used market prices drops too, sometimes an even larger drop compared to the new cars. A used IS350 with performance package is a very affordable 30k now, though finding one is quite hard.
