Wow, that's intense but really cool. I assume it would assist and not be the sole power of A/C. Also another thing is costs. Toyota will take a hit on this, at least for awhile. Also if the solar panels get damaged $$$$. I'm sure they will intergrate it into the roof so its protected but effective. Kudos for Toyota but we all know the Volt is better:lol::lol::thumbup:

There is an aftermarket Solar Panel equipped Prius already;http://www.treehugger.com/files/2007/05/solar_hybrid_ca.php.

I guess powering up the AC is one way, but I prefer powering up the battery.
