I plan on puttin two more additional amps into my system. A pioneer 200 watt and'a Alpine 200 watt. As well as my existing amp, a MTX 300. I want to do this becuase my boy just recently got the exact same subs as me but he's got about 1200 watts goin to them and they pound madd loud. I was told all i need is more power from my amp so i was goin to add a couple more considering i'm gettin the 200 alpine and the 200 pioneer for FREE... U guys wanna help me figure out some hook up and placement ideas???....

thanks

Here is what you do, you sell those two amps you got for free and any other amps you got hooked up to those subs, and you buy youreself an amp with some serious power. Hooking in 2 200 watt amps is going to give you major trouble becuase they will not be supplying the same amount of power out. Just get yourself a nice Kicker 1200.1 or soemthign liek that. You'll be really happy with that.

step one.....get new subs.....

they're only okay subs that can only handle 150w if you have the blue ones, and if you have the silver ones, its 175w....

I should know, I've now got the silver ones cuz of warrantee replacement.....

if you guys think that your friend is pounding hard......then you both have never heard a real system....

I had my JBL 1200.1 to both of my old ones after I blew my boston acoustics :disappoin , and even on about 1/4 gain, I blew them both by accident....

seriously.....invest in better subs and then do what sman says and sell your 3 amps and buy one good one

Yeah I used to have those subs and they don't handle much power. Well, by much I mean they don't handle twice their rated power, which is what I gave them. Traded em in and get Infinity Reference subs for less at Circuit City... that was a little over a year ago... now I work at a CC. I would spend some time over at the forums at caraudio.com and you can learn about some good brands that don't cost too much. I think its idiotic to spend $1300 on car audio stuff when you really don't know too much about it. Chances are he could have done much better if you guys think that Kenwood tornado subs are sick...

For that kind of money... I'd just get a 13W7 and a Hifonics Brutus 1500 amp and still have some money left over.
