OK first rule of life that i learned hard.
Never Purchase a Vehicle in the Winter.
New to the truck world and was told about a wonderful truck named the T100
Found one on craigslist the day it posted went and test drove it made the deal and POW.
No Spare tire, Heat doesn't work, Left rear wheel barings were broken! no Cap/Cover.
Ok so now i am over it and love the truck to death.
Need some helpful advice though.
Getting a fiberglass cover online but need to install mystelf.
IS this worth doing or would i be better of having a pro do it.
Can work a Screw gun and handy with tools.
Purchased a spare tire and now need to get it up under the bed of the truck.
The wire is there but there is no Jack for me to use!
Anyone have an idea of where i can find a used replacement or can i buy a new one and use it?

Did you look under the rear seats fer the jack? Not sure where they would put the jack handle in the extended cab.

You can search www.car-part.com fer most of the parts yer looking fer. Mine didn't come with a jack either...ended up buying it from a parts yard 1200 miles away listed in car-part.com...been a deal saver not having to carry a floor jack with me all the time! ;)

As fer the cover...it would depend on the manufacturer and how hard they make it to install. Most are pretty straight forward and easy. I would suggest that you contact the company yer thinking about buying it from and ask them fer the instructions before you make the purchase.

Where the heck is the Berkshires? I've seen a few on craigslist but it would be a bear to ship if you can't git it yerself. ;)

For the topper, most are clamp on. So you should only need a hand to lift it in place, then climb in and place the clamps, then tighten. If the topper has lighting, you may want to run a dc+ wire in there too, but that's up to you. They also may have a 3rd light, which you would splice to the brake wires.

As for replcaement parts (jack, wheels, etc), personally, I like to go to a couple of the local boneyards where I can scope the parts then pull them myself. Whatever years your truck is, you can also find quite a few matches in 4runners of the same year (ex: dash clusters are same, ext mirrors should be pretty close, engines were same, etc).

If you have an ext cab, check under the rear pass seat hatch for the missing jack parts.

Don't be so hard on yourself. It doesn't really sound like a lemon!
