I am looking at a 95 t-100 with 167k miles on it. If I buy it, I would want to get the timing belt, water pump done on it. I do not have a garage or time to attempt to do it myself. How much have you guys been paying to get it done on the t-100's? Thanks.

I cannot speak for the t-100 but I paid about $300 for the timing belt replaced on my tacoma. I think that they are pretty similar in installation. I took mine to the local dealer. THe pump was relpaced under warranty (extended warranty) and the belt did not need changing at the time the belt was done. I hope that helps you.

I think $500 is a good ball park for negotiation purposes. Give the dealer a call to be sure though.

Don't fergit the front seals or the belt tensioner. ;)

Yes - definitely not a bad idea to address those while in there.
Depending on who you ask the crankshaft seal and timing belt tensioner are nonessential if they are in good condition. All other seals are definately essential. Probably worth it to replace all of the belts well at it. However, If I remember correctly the tensioner replacement required removal of the AC compressor and the crankshaft seal is also some work, so forgoing these two things may save you some dough, depending on the mechanic.

the tensioner is not a bad idea at all, though it will bump the price up quite a bit.

I just picked up my 97 T100 today from the shop and had the timing belt replaced, tensioner, water pump, and flushed for $580 including all taxes here in TN. Hit me back if you need the name of the shop and I'll put you in touch. Thanks

I need my drive belt and water pump replaced as well on my 2003 corolla. The toyota dealer quoted 826$. Most other people quoted between 400 and 500. The Mieneke guys are quoting 250 though. do the cost of parts matter for these things and am I getting lower quality there or are the other places just jacking it up? Any advice would be really appreciated.

Do not get your timing belt changed at Meineke. I wouldnt let that place replace a tire for me...let alone dig into the front of my motor.
Pay a reputable shop to do it. no regrets.
