Does anybody know if the xB has AWD or is planning on having it in years to come? Does it have front or rear wheel drive?

what toyota needs to develop is a sporty AWD coupe or small sedan with around 200 HP or more, preferrably Turbocharged

I hope they beefed up that little 108hp power plant to turn all that extra stuff and haul the extra weight. :disappoin

i think teh xB (Bb there) is only available in 1NZ and 2NZ (echo engine, and a 1.3L echo engine basically) there.

i think the iTS has an option of like 1NZ, 2NZ, and 3SGE. or maybe i've got that backwards.

i'm too lazy to check the japan website, but it's all on there. and it's easy to navigate without any knowledge of japanese. just guess and check, that's what i do:lol:

The car you describe would fall right into Subaru WRX territory. Toyota doesn’t have a good history of trying to fight with cars that have already developed a market niche; for example the FX16 GTS versus the VW GTI. Also, previous Toyota all-trac cars weren’t exactly big sellers, and the current AWD Matrix is already circling the drain.

apparently both are only available with the 1NZ or 2NZ. and awd is only available on a 1NZ equipped bB or ist.

FYI:
First Gen bBs came with 2NZ-FE 1.3L
Second Gen bBs & xBs come with either that or the 1NZ-FE 1.5L.

As far as AWD, Both came either FWD or AWD, but it wouldn't be worth it to have AWD with a 1.5L with the Gasoline that is sold here.

nah, in Japan, right now, the bB has the option of 2NZ or 1NZ, but the awd is only available in the 1NZ version. check the toyota japan website.
