Ok, after aquiring this truck I knew it I was going to have to fix a few small things. Well after having the truck a short 3 weeks now, I've yet to get it out of the driveway!! First Issue - Brake Lines, 2nd Issue - Battery (someone stole it!!!), AND NOW 3rd Issue - My entire Fuel System from the tank to the lines up to the engine need replacing!

Gas Tank - Minor hole where it has rubbed against something under the truck. ONLY TOYOTA HAS IT!! $619+

Fuel Lines - Rusted entirely to the point where leaks sprang up everywhere. Not a problem, Get lines from Local Auto Parts Store!

Fuel Sending Unit - ONLY TOYOTA HAS IT!!!! $130+ bux (Buy seperately with the purchase of a new tank).

Fuel Pump Bracket - one of the line coming out has a HOLE right next to the plate!! It sprays fuel clear across to the driverside of the truck ONTO the exhaust system!

FOURTH AND MOST FRUSTRATING PROBLEM! The Kid I got the truck from LOST THE TITLE WHILE MOVING!! And he refuses to file for a lost title!!!

The Exhaust Pipe from the Cat Back isn't a big deal, Local Auto Parts Store has that. BUUUUT,

:headbang: I QUIT!!! :headbang: I QUIT!!!! :headbang: I QUIT!!!!! :headbang:

Anyone want a 1994 Toyota T100 DX w/ Decent Used Tires (need mounting) and New Haynes Manual? I'll sell it for $425.00 FOR EVERYTHING!!! Jus' want to recover a 1/3 of my money back! Truck is Located In Kansas City, MO!!

Not to be cruel or mean but what's there to prevent the kid who has the title from coming to git the truck back? How could you give him the money without having the title in hand? Did you git a bill of sale with his signature on it? You might be able to file fer the lost title and have it sent to you.

Not too many people will touch a vehicle without the title...that's just how it is. Best bet is to git the title work done.

As you can tell...if you can't inspect the vehicle before you hand over the money...it's on you. The rusted rear bumper and rusted bed should've been a big sign that the entire truck undercarriage needed to be inspected carefully.

Parts can be had...if you have the time and effort. The battery can be replaced...not a big deal. The fuel system can be fixed up fairly easily. Look at yer truck as a project and take yer time gitting the parts and setting up the time to git it fixed up. Or you can part it out with the remaining parts that are good.

Well, A friend of mine had a roommate. He moved out and has had the truck sitting for over 60 days on his property. I sent out a certified letter and got a response from the kid with a phone number saying that if I wanted the truck it's mine and he'd bring me the keys and title. Well He brought me the key and said the title is in storage with the rest of his stuff. Well I've contacted him three times. He claims he can't find the title in storage, too busy to go file for a lost title, and won't come sign a bill of sale so I can go file for a lost title. He can't come get the truck cause legally I have a mechanic's lien on the truck and in the certified letter it states that he would have to pay me "X" amount of money to get the truck back. So far my costs have added up with the Tires, 2 Batteries now (first one froze and store wouldn't take it back, 2nd Stolen), buying a manual for the truck, and replacing the rear glass (broke so they could steal the battery and owner's manual).

So the truck is mine, signed, sealed, and delivered! If nobody wants the truck and I can't figure out how to get the title from the kid, fix the truck, I guess I'll jus' scrap it for junk.

P.S. The entire under carriage really isn't all too bad except ON the bed. Granted some of the steel lines have rusted underneath, but the cab is intact with a few places of surface rust.

I see you have it listed on craigslist. Would you be willing to part it out? ;)

Yeah I listed it on Craigslist.org. I sold it this afternoon as a parts truck. I jus' wanted to get it out of the driveway so I could get my butt back home.

SOLD it for $400.00 with a BOS.

Not to flame anyone, but you learned an important life lesson about being a dumbass. Never hand over money to someone without getting the title, or at least a signed bill of sale!!:D:D

The funny thing about your quote. Is the Kid who lost the truck due to abandonment didn't get a dime out of me or my roommate!

So who's the dumb@$$ now? Not me! I made my money back plus a tad bit more for my trouble. I sold the tires seperately and got my money back on them (never mounted them thank God).

That doesn't make sense. In your first post, you said "I'll sell it for $425.00 FOR EVERYTHING!!! Jus' want to recover a 1/3 of my money back!". That means you spent $1,275 for the truck and parts. Then your close to last post said you sold the truck for $400. By that reckoning, you are still out $875!!

Haven't you ever heard the rule of 3s? guys triple how many girls they've slept with and how much money they've spent on the car they're trying to sell you. Girls divide the number of guys they've slept with by 3, and how much money they spent on that purse...
