How to do a tune up on my auto 91 tercel?

Im just wanting to know what i should do to my tercel for a tune up. And how hard is it to change the fuel filter and where is it located any help woul be great!!


For the tune up toyota said to change
cap
rotor
wires
spark plugs
pcv valve
Air filter
fuel filter

I agree with the parts list toyota gave. Take the car to a shop and let them change the fuel filter. The price they'll charge for labor is less than the price of the metric line wrenches you'd need.

Yeah, but those wrenches would be a one-time cost only. :D

Everything there is pretty easy, but like the guys said, the fuel filter can be a bitch if the lines are in bad shape. Invest in a Haynes manual for you car ($15 or so at Canadian Tire), they're not the best, but pretty good for basic stuff like that. Let us know how you do.

Well i did the tune up and it worked out great!!! now the car runs great like night day change. The spark plugs where burnt and the rotor was toast one of the wires was frayed and when i took it off it broke so thats not a good thing but its all done and runnuing good again thanks for your help

a chilton repair manual would be a better choice than haynes in my experience.

If you want a really good manual, pick up a Helm's. They're around $50 but are worth the money. They are more specific to your car instead of every trim model for like 5 years.
