Hooking up driving lights for idiots.

Ok so when it comes to vehicle electrical I haven't a clue on how to do anything. I have installed many car radios before but never did anything beyond that. i tried to hook up an amp once and fried the fuse box.... So i am an idiot no, wait a complete idiot when it comes to vehicle electrical. The mechanical stuff I can handle.

I want to install driving lights (aux) on my t100. The previous owner had lights in the bottom air dam and the holes are still there. The light switch is still there in the cab. As for that there is nothing else. I have tried to read up on hooking up these lights but as soon as its gets into relays and fuses i am lost like a blind woman playing football.

Does anyone know where I can find a step by step illustrated guide to do this. Please don't try to type out a detailed set of instructions, I can not understand them. And please don't show me a set of instructions from a light kit. They make no sense to me. i need photos with drawings and videos... I fact just come over and show me... Once I learn it I will will be fine and will end up hooking up lights on every vehicle I own just to be a cool kid.

Just find a light kit with a relay setup with piccies and buy it. The instructions will tell/show you how to hook them up.

Generally, when we buy Toyota Truck Parts (http://www.truckpartsdiscount.com), there is is a sheet which indicates the installation procedures of that specific part. However, if you don't have it, just check it on car magazines or sites.

Zuke, i just finished yesterday wiring a set of foglights up on the rear of my T100 so i could see to back up better, i decided that tryin to wire into the reverse switch was to big of a pain, didnt wanna mess with it, so i wired into a switch, which i located on the center piece below the ashtray, i can tell you, it took me a while!!

after running all the wires, i found the main problem was getting the ground right....i hooked the ground that runs to the switch onto the metal piece there, i will get pics sometime soon.....but grounding it there, i noticed it was a pain in the ass to get the lights grounded and working......i tryed lengthening the groundwire to the switch, running it through the firewall and grounding out on the frame, but couldnt seem to get the switch grounded this way??
so i hooked it back to the piece mentioned above, and tryed grounding the lights to the frame, didnt work, im guessing this was due to the rubber bushings or w/e ya call em on the bodymounts, i ended up lengthening the ground to the lights, and grounding them out inside the cab also, now i have working lights on the rear, so i can see alot better to back up=]
it took alot of time, and wasnt easy.

Just a note, for interior grounds, its best to find a factory ground and use that. Its usually the best spot :)
