buttons on the keyring?

im not sure what the other button on my keyring does
i know the textured one locks and unlocks the doors but what does the smooth one do? my keyring is for a 98 t-100, small oval two buttons and one small led indicator light

I'm gonna guess it's the panic button. Did you push it yet? ;)

the smaller button is used only for programming various convenience features, the explanation for it is in the manual for the alarm.

Looks like it's a 2 button factory Toyota remote...like this one (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370229878329)... ;)

Apparantly this works with the RS3000 or RS3200 alarm system. You can do the rest of the "search" and discover from here... ;) :D

So based on the operational manual...it looks like the 2nd button is used fer programming the remote...or fer a secondary vehicle. :D
