any automatic '91 pickups have body lift kits?

I'm a new owner of a '91 pickup extended cab long bed with an automatic transmission. I wanted my first act of customization to be installing a lift. I've been searching all over for a body lift kit but I haven't been able to find any that are for a '91 pickup with automatic transmission. The only kits I've been able to find are for '86-'88. I'm very new to truck mechanics so I'd like to only use a body lift instead of a suspension lift. I would rather not mess with the actual functions of the truck, just the looks.

Would anyone know of any good brands that might have some? Or maybe some lift kits that are universal?

I've also seen you make leaf spring blocks out of wood

lol! Now these options are just progressively getting more frightening =p. 4crawler.com looks pretty promising. The only problem is that I'm looking to get a new ARB winch bumper and I'm worried it wont fit right because of the 3" lift. I'm a little nervous about cutting up the bumper so would anyone have a good way to fit it?

3" is a pretty tall BL...I would think you would still be able to mount a winch bumper with the lift but I'm not positive...

post in the actual 89-95 pickup section where people will actually see it btw.

well i wouldn't recommend leaf blocks to anyone they always end up cracking what i would recommend to DSMahon is to get familiar with a welder or take a course and buy a 200$ wal mart welder

I dont know very much about trucks. All this is pretty new to me. I'd be nervous about the structural integrity if I were to attempt this myself. How much do you think it'd cost for a local fab shop to make one that actually looks pretty similar?

welders are funnie kinda like auto mechanics theyr either cheep or expensive fast or slow they want to do it or they dont but materials
steel (from scrapyard) 10$
spray paint 3$
welding wire 5$
4 bolts 15$
now do you have a cutting tool (grinder sawzall jigsaw)?
now just to find a welder to button it all up put an add on craigslist

When I have thousands of pounds of pressure pulling a truck by a winch line, and all that stands between me and death is the mechanical integrity of the setup on the truck, I'm not sure that I wanna trust a winch bumper that was fabbed for $33 dollars...again no offense cuz for all I know you may have great fabbing skills, but for someone who is new at it I would really recommend starting on something that doesn't jeopardize your life, like maybe an exhaust or a simple tube bumper or something like that.

Yeah, knj's right. I dont really have a problem spending the cash for peace of mind. Im sure there'll be something a fab shop can do to fit the bumper.
