hey guys whats goin on ? I just picked up a 96 T100 and its an awesome truck.

BUT on my way home I popped a code P0141, which was the o2 sensor heater. I was wondering if anyone has delt with this code on our trucks before. Is it most likely that I just need to swap out the front o2 sensor ?

How many o2 sensors do we have on our 3.4L engines ?

On my 1998 T-100 3.4L 5VZFE, I have 2 sensors...

You'll like it more as time goes by. Even Tundra owner envy us.

# of o2 sensors likely depends on whether or not it is California emissions spec.

ok so its pretty standard settup. awesome. Have you guys had any luck with aftermarket front O2 sensors? or do they tend to be pretty iffy ? I know with my subaru's that its always recommended to go with an OEM bosch oxygen sensor.

thats good to know ! I knew when I started looking for trucks that this was an awesome machine. I just have to take care of the little problems.... Like this o2 sensor, and try to figure out why its pulling to the left after I tested out my 4WD today :(

You need a Denso o2 sensor I believe...

4wd uses ADD (automatic differential disconnect). A vacuum system engages/disengages the drive shafts at the differential. Sounds to me like one of the drive shafts isn't disengaging... Try putting it in and out a few times. Check for Vacuum leaks. Then ask BamZipPow, he really knows more about it than I do.

Re: O2. Crawl under the truck and see if the O2 sensor is still bolted on... My bolts rusted off and the O2 sensor fell out!

P.S., I can confirm that Tundra owners are indeed envious, though the tundra is a great truck too. The t100 is definitely an excellent vehicle and should give you many serviceable miles. Again I defer to Bamzippow- he has a truck with over 330,000 I believe.

awesome info thanks. I figured it was something like that. I'll fire her up tonight and run the Transfer case through the ropes.

I've played with that front axle engaging mechanism on a 98 Dodge ram I used to drive around. I'm assuming its very similar. Its really a quite delicate looking part.
