I just bought a 1997 T100 Ext Cab 4x4 with a 3.4 V6 and Manual Transmission. It has 264,000 miles on it. Overall it is in good shape (good compression, runs good, etc.) but there is a slight leak from the transfer case. As near as I can tell, it is coming from the top of the unit, possibly from the gasket below the shift lever. Has anyone had a similar issue? Is it possible to change out this gasket without removing the whole thing?

If it is the shifter mounting plate gasket, it can be replaced from the top. There are 4-6 bolts that hold it on.

With 264K miles, that's not a bad idea while it's out. You just have to pop the shifter out of the mounting plate you removed to get to the gasket.

Unfortunately, Marlin Crawler does not make a shifter seat that fits the T100 Transfer Case. At least that is what they told me when I called them. I am hoping to get into this tonight or tomorrow. It has just been too hot to do anything outside for the last few days...
