hey yall
i need new shocks. i am going to do the work myself. any tips? it looks pretty simple with 2 bolts @ the bottom and a nut @ the top. is that it? any brand suggestions? autozone has a bunch but idk what to get

also, i want to get the front end of my trck up a lil. would longer shocks do it? it looks like my torsion bars are cranked all the way. and do i have to replace the ball upper ball joints if i go the 'ball joint spacers'?

Did mine a few months ago. I went with Bilstiens and they are great but kind of expensive. KYB makes the oem ones on the t100.

I went with the Skyjacker shocks and I love them. They ride great on the street and off-road. The install was simple and can be done on the ground. I got mine from www.autoanything.com for $170 for all 4.

I also replaced my torsion bars with the MOOG bars. The old ones were rusted on and I had to cut them off (this took longer than the shocks!)

Bhubs, did the MOOG bars raise your front without such a bumpy ride as you would get jackin the stock bars??
also where can you get them?

As mine is 4WD, the MOOG bars kept the stock look. I get questioned daily if my truck has a lift and as you all know the 4WD has a high stance.

I bought them online for $9 each. I heard that Energy Suspension made some but didn't find them online until I had the MOOG on the truck. The MOOG has regular bushing and not the poly's that come with the Energy Suspension.
