Manual Gearbox question on V8 conversion 60 series

Hey everyone out there can anyone help me ? I have a 1983 FJ60 with a 308 Holden 5litre engine put into it the gearbox is getting sloppy and whinning in 4th n 5th also leaks as does the transfer case my mate is wrecking a HJ62 series i am wondering if i can use the Diesel gearbox and transfer case from his wreck in my V8 conversion will it just bolt straight on and will the ratio of the diesel gearing be ok with the V8 powering it cheers all.

Have you posted this in any AU/NZ boards? It's going to be hard to get a serious tech question like that answered here, it's mostly N.A. stuff. 99% of the people here probably don't know what a Holden even is, and we don't have any diesels here :)
