I already talked to the guy yesterday, basically, besides a blown gasget and bad rear shocks, he said its quite rust free (besides the front fender).. another spot of rust was on the back wall of one of the back wheelwells, but he said its pretty isolated ..
there is other surface rust here and there, but those are the only bad spots.. there are also small things here and there.. like one of the front signal lights is cracked, rip behind one of the headrests, crack in surrounding plastic of one of the tail lights, small ding under a tail light.. he said the car is complete and he is the second owner.. he's never had it on teh street yet becuase he was gonna turn it into a Lotus Super 7 kit car..
oh yeah, there's a chip or crack in the windshield, but he can get a good one (he can also get a good fender to replace rusty one)..
new exhaust ,rad,.. completely stock, never modded.. thats' all I can remember.. probably a good parts car for that price!

for 600??? i don't hink so...that seems a bit inflated with all other things you said were wrong with it....i've bought 2 hachis running for under 600 and 1 in pretty good body condition and a blown motor for 2 bills....
go figure..

I little overpriced. I'm sure there are better cars that will show up in the future.. I mean if you intend to use it as a parts donator. $600 is quite expensive.
It seems like there are alot of problems with the car. Oh well, there are alot of problems with mine, so I can't complain about the price. I won't sell my car if somebody offered me triple the amount of the asking price.

I always thought the hardest thing to find was a relatively rust free body/frame.. if this guy's car really only has the two significant spots of rust then it might be worth it??
I dunno.. I guess it depends what you're looking for

That's true Mr. Sinister.
You never know what is under that coat of paint thought.
I'm sure a few years later, even my rust free body will have a few rust spots appearing.
Hard to tell if the owner is telling the truth..
