xB using oil

my 2008 xB seems to be burning up a little oil between changes - is it safe to add a little synthetic in between changes?

what may be causing this? i have never had a new vehicle that burns oil.

there are no leakes or smoke?

How much are you burning/losing and what mileage are you at?

i think there's a TSB for oil consumption on the 2zr-fe, (same motor as corolla non-xrs) check the 10thgen corolla forum or ask your dealer, if i remember correctly, they just flash the ecu.
