Ok - heres my rant. I work at a toyota dealership, and so far we have gotten a few scion's in for service.

Why is it the 3 of the 4 scions ive seen have been driven by middle aged women? They have their minivans and camrys, leave the xb-ox to the youth :(

oh yea- the 4th xa, was driven by a hottie- so it works out good i guess

True.... I've seen two xB's. One was old woman, one was young tasty woman.

i've seen nuthin but 40ish hippies and po folks driving xA's in NorCal. I figured that one would be the car of choice for folks that miss Geo Metros and Daihatsu Charades.

Hmmm, here in Reno, all the Scion drivers are 18-25 year old Asian's with expensive sun glasses and short spikey hair.

Same deal with the Honda Element - in Reno, all the 50 year olds bought them, and they because very 'uncool'

Nope, middle aged family car. And don't say that around Wraith :D

And they do make a 2 door. I don't know the last time someone decided to shove a family into a 2 door.

So why do you have a problem with Scion if you're complaining about the owners?

No, they don't sell them here yet. In fact, you can't even test drive them. However one of my friends managed to get a ride in one. The first place to be selling them will be Toyota City in Blaine. They should have them this month. I just saw an add for them being the only place to carry them right now.

Didn't I tell you? I swore I told you. Yup, I did:D

Camrys have a great motor in them once you get past the economic base. There's a lot that can be done with that 3.0L V6. If you know what your doing, you could push, oh 400hp plus out of it:D

tight? no sorry it is a pos - the engine cover isnt even attached properly - the seams arnt sealed and its a "bigger" car than the corolla and yet feels smaller in every way, shape and form. It uses ford fous parts AND whats up with that trunk hinge system and trunk size?

yeh ok i just HATE those cars :bash:

Hey hey now, don't be talking crap on the Ford Focus. Don't make me have to defend Fords again. And there are Focus' that make Vipers choke on dust. So don't act like they're so piece car.

Just laying down the law:cool:

It may be true, however i can almost guarantee it doesnt have 1 origonal componant in it :)

I was going to buy a focus SVT last year - then i test drove it....sorry...it was a pos it rattled all over the plate and the clutch would not grab and everybody that i know that bought a focus has had nothing but problems.

Well, I would kind of wonder if the parts were original. Mazda is owned by Ford. It would make sense that they use parts they already have. It's just like Lexus. Toyota parts, Toyota chassis. Just makes sense.

Man, you must have gotten one of the really abused test models. Cause the one I drove was sweet. Those things handle sooo well. Perfect for a base rally car. But I would prefect the concept:D I rambled about that in a different thread. Personally, I would never buy any other Focus. I think they are ugly (the bulky ones at least. I don't love the coupe, but the car beats out the look).

This is my 500th post!!!

You should feel honored. Man, it's been a wild ride. Looking back, so much has changed. And I have learned so much. Thanks too all the great people along the way.

Let's take a look back at my first post:

Man, those were good memories weren't they?
And many more to come:D

Heh, the local paper recently did an article on the local Toyota dealership and the Scions they would soon be getting in. The two people in this area that own them are both older - one is fourty-something and uses it as a business car (big ol' ad on the side) and the other is some old guy who likes it because he says girls compliment him on the car

I should scan that in sometime and post it...

Here is the proof: I’ve had my ‘05 xB for two weeks now (so I’m an expert on Scions) and in a few months I’ll celebrate my 70th birthday!

But, I also drive an ‘02 BMW Z3 Roadster. I also drive a 200+ hp ‘04 MINI Cooper S. I have a 40 y.o. wife. I have two teen-age sons. I’ve been retired since 1979.

 I hope to be like you one day. Only no mini cooper. And no kids to suck up all my money. And a Cobra R. But that's all I would change.

Add me to the Old Fart list. I am a 70 year old woman and I just bought an XB today and I love it.

My other cars are
1955 Chevy Wagon
1957 Chevy Belair Updated

1994 Chevy Truck Tricked Out
1931 Chevy 4 Dr Sedan Hot Rod

I'm not trying to recapture my youth because I never did grow up.

You can't be serious.

I drove a Focus for 2 weeks. It was horrenduous. Slid at every turn. Very uncomfortable car. I only liked the fact that the stock radio was MP3 compatible.
