1986 Corolla GT-S ad - minor concern

There is a pretty cheap AE86 on sale on Trader for $1500 for anyone who may be interested.

From looking at the image there seems to be five lug nuts on the wheels (whatever it's called :wink:). How come? Or are my eyes bad and need a check-up?

hey guys.. I talked to the owner.. the guy said the body has no rust, and he just repainted it last year or something.. the only thing that concerned me was he said teh fuel door/hatch release levers under teh drivers seat had rusted out.. so I'm thinking that could mean the floor pans are rusty too??
I dunno.. but he said the body is really rust free.. and it has like 350K km's on it..

the only thing is they said it's somewhere near cornwall.. closer to the quebec border (?? their description, not mine.. I have no idea where cornwall is).. so that sounds pretty far hehe..

the couple that own it live on a farm in the boonies out there.. they are a 'toyota family'.. the wife told me they have like 4 toyota's, and teh husband is selling this car to buy a newer celica.

Wow, 350,000kms on the car. It's garaunteed to have alot of rust underneath the car. But the car has been repainted very nicely. Looks like the car has really low mileage from looking at the picture.

I have no idea where Cornwall is either. Hmm, Quebec. Haha ya, that sounds pretty far alright. Even farther from you since you're from London. :wink:

I think there's a good chance its *not* sold.. they told me they live out in the country.. and that's out in the country from *cornwall*.. which, to Torontonians, is already out in the country hehe.. so I think there's not too much demand for a car like that out there..

That is a good price but i wounder how rusted it is under the car..That car would be nice and close for me.

I garauntee that this car has more than enough rust underneath the car.

A car with over 300kms, oh ya, for sure! It's a rust bucket alright.

call them up and ask the guy to look under it for you.. they seemed like pretty nice people.. and they don't seem like they're trying to sell the car at all costs.. the wife told me they put it in trader.ca just to "get a feel" for if they could sell it or not..
and also, the wife said her husband 'didn't like to drive it in the winter'.. so I don't htink its been winter driven for hte past 2 years or something... and maybe it hasn't been winter driven all that much at all.. i dunno..
