I have a 1992 sc400 and yes, it's a really nice car. I have 161k, and it still runs strong and is very quiet when cruising or on the freeway. Parts for the car isn't too pricey, if you know where to shop. I've had the car for 9 months, 10k later and the car is so smooth still. I've only bought new tires and a new battery so far, and soon to change the water pump, and T-belt. On the freeway the passing power is always there and after you floor it, you can only hear a low tone rumble. 90mph feels like 65mph and 120mph feels like 80mph. The car does not vibrate at all at those speeds and feel really steady. Everytime my friends and I go hang out, they always want me to take my car because they like the way it rides. I get alot of attention, but it's mostly from middle age or elderly folks. Since my car don't have big wheels or fancy kits, the young ones don't stare. :D

A modded one does sound very nice (V8!!). A stock sc400 is pretty quiet though. Sometimes I wish I had a more throatier sound tone to my car, but I don't want to mod my car so I guess I have to leave it as it is for now.

stock for stock, an SC300 sounds better than an SC400... with an exhaust, the SC300 sounds like a Supra.. the SC400 sounds like a raspy little Chevrolet engine...

I love that IS430. The other day I was watching the show that they had on the build up of it and that dman thing is sick.

for lexus to actually produce the IS430....it would prolly add about 10-15gs on top of the current MSRP for an IS300.....that alone is prolly the main reason why consumers will never ever see one.....
