Attn: corolla 90captain tofu 08-27-2001, 09:05 PM Where did you get the wheels on your grey AE86? I want a set of 14" in black too. Corolla90 08-28-2001, 01:06 PM Bunta?!? he he he...I got them at a place called Foreign auto parts here in Montreal. Also have a set of 15" Longchamps in my garage. captain tofu 08-28-2001, 04:00 PM Do you mind telling me how much you paid? varietta 08-28-2001, 04:12 PM Hey Corolla90, That picture of your silver coupe looks very familiar. I think I've seen it on Moto-P's website.. but as Moto's own car? I'm confused. Are those panasports? You have longchamps too? 15"? NICE! I'd also like to how how much you paid for them, to get an idea, if you don't mind. Thanks, Kevin Corolla90 08-29-2001, 01:02 PM Panasports? Those are Toyota original Corolla rims. Paid 50$ each for them. [ This Message was edited by: Corolla90 on 2001-08-29 13:03 ] Corolla90 08-29-2001, 01:10 PM Oh sh**! Don't I look like a goddamn fool now. Sorry guys, I have collection of gray AE86's on my PC and I took the wrong pic. This is in fact Motop's Gray 4ag 20valve. Bare in mind that this album was done fast. There's not that much desert in Montreal..he he he. I was also wandering why some of you guys were begging to get those original rims?!?... I'll make the correction. Corolla90 08-29-2001, 01:58 PM Played around with my album. Seems I have copied over my pics with other pics, the red one is ok though. Tell me if it's right... http://ca.photos.yahoo.com/i_am_corolla90 I'll scan my Gray Hachi pics again. I'll also take pics of my longchamp XR4's too. Not selling those BTW! he he he... Some history: The red Hachi's rims are for sale. Since that picture (when I bought it) I've had a roll cage installed and a bought a pair of original rims + has some original decals done on the sides. The red has a rebuilt and modified J-spec 4ag (TVIS), the gray a rebuilt and modified 4ag (TVIS) and the white a stock rebuilt and modified 4ag (red top). _________________ Corolla90 1985 Corolla GTS coupe (Red) 1985 Corolla GTS coupe (Gray) 1990 Corolla GTS coupe (White) [ This Message was edited by: Corolla90 on 2001-08-29 14:05 ] captain tofu 08-29-2001, 04:23 PM I'm going to check out a set of those rims tonight. If they are in good condition, I will take them. I like that style because it's the same rims on Initial D. varietta 08-29-2001, 04:33 PM Captain tofu, the Initial D mania  What kind of rims are you getting? The one on Takumi's AE86 are Watanabes. The panasports (in Corolla90s album) look similar but are quite different. Black racing rims also look similar to the Watanabes, but if you are looking for that true Initial D replica look, Watanabes are the way to go. Good luck, let us know if you get the rims. And remember to post your pics. Thanks, Kevin varietta 08-29-2001, 04:40 PM Ah Corolla90, All is clear to me now. I was wondering how you got your hands on Moto-P's car. Wow, that silver AE86 with the longchamp is clean! Those are longchamps, right? And also the kouki front bumper. Wow, what a difference that makes heh! Talk to you soon, Kevin captain tofu 08-29-2001, 09:14 PM On 2001-08-29 16:33, varietta wrote: Captain tofu, the Initial D mania  What kind of rims are you getting? Thanks, Kevin Yes, I am an Initial D mania. :D Thanks for the input, I don't know what I am going to get, I just want the wheels in that style and the most important thing is they need to be CHEAP. varietta 08-30-2001, 01:04 AM I agree, cheap is good! The Panasports shown in Corolla90's photo album are quite popular among vintage car owners (you'll always see them on Mini coopers for instance) And I can't imagine them being cheap at all! Unless you are able to pick up a set of used ones. Watanabes (from Initial D) are nowhere close to being cheap. There was recently two sets of four rims on sale at http://www.jspec.com/. They had a set of four 14 x 6.5 for $900USD (including shipping). I know a place in Southern Cali selling two 13" for $200 USD (Add shipping). Your best bet is to look for black racing rims. But they are probably as obsolete in Canada, as the Watanabes. They are also heavier compared to the other two mentioned above. An example of black racing: http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Flats/4936/brs.jpg --- copy and paste this url to your web browser. Hope this helps, Kevin P.S. How were the rims you saw tonight? [ This Message was edited by: varietta on 2001-08-30 01:16 ] captain tofu 08-30-2001, 06:32 AM I found a set of black mesh wheels in 15" and I think I will get them. I need to sell two sets of wheels now, one is the gold OE rims from my car and the other set is a set of old Celica rims. Corolla90 08-30-2001, 08:07 AM There's a damn clean old beetle parked near my work with 15 inch silver Panasports. They're kind of a rare sight here in Montreal. The beetle used to be registered in Cali, that would explain why. mmmm....wonder if he's selling? captain tofu 08-30-2001, 02:22 PM same bolt pattern? Corolla90 08-30-2001, 03:48 PM 4 bolt, same pattern. They look brand new! What the hell are they doing on a 30 year old beetle! I'm jealous.... Captain...did you spill any water on your Tofu run? he he he Me iz Initial D addict too! All episodes on DVD. Kicks major a$$! Takumiiiiiiii! captain tofu 08-30-2001, 06:10 PM On 2001-08-30 15:48, Corolla90 wrote: 4 bolt, same pattern. They look brand new! What the hell are they doing on a 30 year old beetle! I'm jealous.... Don't tell my dad!   Did you watch the extra stage which the story about the sil-80 girls? I love the scene which she was taking a bath.   varietta 08-30-2001, 07:14 PM What condition is the VW Beetle in. I actually do like those cars, but not as much as the AE86 of course. If the VW is all rusted out, you should drop by and ask for a bargain on their Panasports. They will look amazing on any AE86. But I'm guessing they are vintage car lovers - to still own a VW Beetle. Hahaha, Initial D mania baby! Whooooohoooo, Extra Stage, Impact blue sil-eighty. Ohhh ya, hahaha funny thing was when I was watching the VCD for the first time, my aunts and uncles were over at my place and I turned to say hi and I chatted facing away from the T.V. set. I turned back and I see them taking a shower, naked! Hahaha, what an embarrassement. They probably though I was watching some hentai shiet. Oh I'm sure we'll keep it a secret. Don't spill the water next time Cap. Tofu! Kevin varietta 08-30-2001, 07:25 PM Hahaha, take a look at these comics.
