hey guys, quick question. What is the difference between VVTI (variable valve timing) and VVTLI(variable valve timing lift intelligence)? I know that the VVTLI gives you a Turbo like boost at high RPM's, but what about VVTI that is in the new tC's with the camry engine?

the L stands for lift. There's a cam change over when it switches to a high lift cam, at about 6000 rpm from what I understand. I don't recall how many mm the lift changes to however. I think the cam advances to 292 degrees and I something like 9 or 10 mm of lift. That's what I vaguely remember. If you want a precise figure search the Net for it, it's out there somewhere.
