Why VSC is only available on AUTO
and LSD on MANU? I think VSC is a
must and better than LSD in winter driving

If im not wrong its because the sensors for the VSC is built into the automatic tranny and it senses uneven power delivery. This system looks dam complicated and is probably just not posible with a manual because there is less room for sensors and also the fact that the torque is much more direct since there is no torque coverter.

I know LSD is a helucinagenic drug that my parents used to trip out on when they were younger...joking  ... Lmtd Slip Diff.

But what's a VSC? Variable Speed Control or something :???:

Close but no cigar, it stands for Vehicle Skid Control and it tries to prevent you from spinning out by applying the brakes automatically if it senses that one of the tires is on ice spinning faster than the other tire which is on dry land. Since on the automatic, the car controls the engines speeds, it can do this, but on manual you, the driver does and the car can't override the driver's steering I guess.

Yeah I just bought the Lex and I take delivery at the end of June. The reason I know what VSC was, is that it mentioned it in the 2002 brochure, so maybe it changed since last year, oh well! Btw, that link doesn't seem to be working.

VSC is just a fancy way of saying Traction Control with more sensors.
