Cup Holder/Ash Tray & Lighter Issue [Archive] - Toyota Forums

I forgot exactly what year was it that Lexus decided to take care of their little designing error on the whole cup holder/lighter & ash tray compartment, but I have a 92 ES300 and I was wondering if anyone figured something out so that they can have a cupholder, and have something plugged into the lighter at the same time.

Trying to stay away from adding a Wal-Mart cupholder...looking towards something like a modified center console. I'm just dreamin, huh? hehe..

Know what you mean. I'd like to use the cup holder as cell phone holder and plug into lighter. Might have to install aftermarket lighter somewhere.
