yeah, hopefully they'll actually make it. that'd be friggin nice, but i bet tehy're gonna use it to increase fuel economy, not for speed (kinda like a turbo diesel)

but retain the stock sized injectors...

so according to this, the Pruis would be making, around 140 hp off the gas engine, right..?

They would get better economy with a turbo instead of a supercharger. The reason is that the turbo works by returning some of the wasted exhaust energy back into the engine while the super is driven directly by the engine, which uses energy from the engine to drive it. They should keep the engine the way it is, maybe drop the CR by half a point, then add the turbo and make it work (plumbing and electronics-wise).

I agree with Squidward, a turbo charger is more economic than a turbocharger. Actually a turbocharger increases the efficiency of an NA engine, efficiency doesn't mean better mileage. But it means you will need less effort to develop a certain speed.
This is since a turbo charger is extracting that lost power in the exhaust (the heat, which causes it to have pressure), to turn the turbine that will suck in the air.
In a supercharged engine, since the turbine that sucks in air is directly mechanically linked to the engine, you actually burn more fuel to turn it.
