Ok help me out guys, 96 yota t100 2.7 , 2wd, 5 speed. When engine running clutch pedal will rise and fall as it should. With engine off same thing, the prob is when its running, push in the clutch and it will not go in gear, shut it off and put it in 1st gear when you start it it starts in gear like there is no clutch at all. This is what i did, first, checked fluid looked good, bleed slave syl felt slugish, so i rebuilt it, started over, bled it and the clutch feels good in the pedal, but no good. Then i replaced pressure plate, disk, throwout bearing, all back together no good. Took apart agin, replaced clutch fork arm, cause pivot ball spring felt loose. still no good, guys i dont wanna take it out again, please help..Somebody has to have some idea? Anyone?

It could be the pilot bearing in the end of the crankshaft is bad......not really a good way to check this without removing it

My T-100 started acting the same way. I bled and adjusted but, still had the same symptoms. Thought I needed a clutch job. Took it to the dealer. Mechanic took about two minutes to figure it out. The clutch pedal mounting bracket, under the dash was cracked and flexed as the pedal was depressed. Around two hundred dollars on the repair bill. Last month online I found I wasn't alone, many a T-100 owner suffered the ssame experience.

Hey Chris, did you figure out your problem? GD Joe
My 95 t-100 4wd had that exact problem and it was the clutch pedal bracket. Also the firewall where this backet bolts to is very thin so dont try to push your pedal thruogh the floor or it might just go.

My friend had a '96 T100 - did exactly the same thing. The dealership knew about the problem - and had a new updated bracket. We did the swap in less than two hours with basic hand tools. I think the bracket was about $65-$75. Pretty easy to do yourself.

Check the clutch fork for a crack probibly near the bearing end if all looks good outside the bellhousing.
