See, now I'd actually wanna be seen in that Rav4. I second the position of the Toyota symbol ... tacky, IMO. ... At refresh time they'll probably move it down like the Gen 5.5 Camry.

I think hte front looks pretty bitchin personally.....I do see the BMW similarities from the side..andthe tourage similarities on the rear.........but...overall its all right...however..is this more of 4runner now? Where is toyota going?

4Runner & Sequioa are a truck platforms. Rav4 and Highlander are car platforms.
Ride, height, and pulling power will be the obvious differences.

Finally, a RAV4 a typical-male might consider buying! Have u ever taken a seat in one of the older models? Like sitting in Cattle-Class on a plane!
If the '06 is bigger, more powerful and handles better than the current model, I'll strongly consider it for my next purchase (which happens to be in about a year ;).
(But I'm still wondering about the next Highlander model update!)

It's like a cross between a Dodge Ram and an RX-8. Toyota still doesn't seem to quite have a "direction" for their styling yet.

IMO, the front end reminds me of FX35, and rear end reminds me of a Toureg. I like the front, looks evil, more personality, but the rear looks a bit plain......overall, it's not that bad.

I think all in all it looks pretty nice. It seems a little longer than the previous models though. I wonder if the new highlander will get a stretch as well.

I don't believe that that rendering is a Toyota release......

The new Rav is almost as big in the eats as the Highlander and it's 7 pass. with a V6!! I think it will step on Highlander sales!

It is. I test drove the 4 cylinder model and it feels quite lively, dare I say moreso than our 02 Camry XLE 4 cylinder. Makes you wonder why you'll need a Highlander. It's a very good size. I wonder how big the new Highlander will be.

Yes the 4 banger rav will almost 120 mph according to toyota:) Its plenty fast
