I have recently been looking into Intakes/CAI for my '97 Camry XLE 3.0L V6. I want to order it up at the beginning of march so I can have it for the spring.
I have been obsessed with Weapon-R Intakes for a while now. About a year I have been waiting to get one. I have several friends who have gotten them on Non-Toyota cars and absolutely love them. But whenever I got to forums people are always saying "WEapon-R sucks, they are cheap, they are crap, they don't do anything but sound good".
I want to know what the real deal is with them. They can't make all those claims and have all those dyno tests proving they are a good intake company/system and have it be totally false.
So I guess the long and short of it is that I want to know if a Weapon-R intake WILL make a difference in the performance area on my Camry. If it doesmt, would buying the Ram Air hose attachment and the heat shield and making it a "cold ram air" system be better than just getting the short ram?
Any suggestion or comments are appreciated as I am just starting to mod my car out for performance (I've done a lot of "appearance" mods, but I am a firm believer in the whole "A car that is all show and no go is just crap"):whatwhat:
