Tips on Tacoma purchase

Hello! First post.:D

I'm in the market to buy a used Toyota 4wd pickup, but I've never owned a Toyota before. My current truck is a '90 Isuzu 4x4 & it finally died. I have around $6k - 7k to spend, and I don't really want to go older than a '95. My main concerns are reliability and MPG, so I'll probably be looking for a 4 cyl.

For 7K you won't get any newer than an '95 unless it has really high mileage. The 4 banger is bulletproof with great reliability. You can try asking the guys over at www.tacomaterritory.com/forum and www.customtacos.com for more advice as well. All Taco owners there that can give you good advice.
