Binaries, Part Deux

Well, my photos suggestion wasn't well received. I was not suggesting we
post binaries in this group. I think the web TV bias hijacked my thread.
Anyhow, I guess the best thing to do would be to simply post the URL to link
to the appropriate photo.

To Tegger, I had in mind any photo that would clarify a post. Much text is
written trying to explain what part, how attached and so on. For example, I
spend a lot of time over at fordification.com, a www group dedicated to old
Ford pickups. The group discussions on that Web based board are often
augemented with photos which are usually very helpful.

I think everyone is too hard on those that don't understand the nature of
Usenet. Like many of you, I have been doing this a long time and have always
enjoyed the newsgroups. However, most folks nowadays have no idea what these
things are, what a binary file is and why someone would tell them they
shouldn't include one with their post. Netiquette - never heard of it! Many
are doing newsgroups with their browser and do not differentiate between
text based and other forms.

Anyhow, if I want to indicate a photo, I'll point to it. Thanks to all for
your comments.
