Just stuffed a newer 3.4 in my '95 T-100 xtra-cab. When I start up or when the rpms get low the clutch squeaks like a loose acc. belt. I've checked the belts, dressed then, noise is still there. Sometimes I can pop the clutch a bit or crank the steering wheel lock to lock and it stops making the noise (that's why I checked the belts again). Oh, also the pedal maintains it's freeplay until it's driven a bit then all the freeplay goes away. Any thoughts?

Thought I'd update the folk here. although nobody had had the problems I was having I pressed on regardless and found this out. A) it was the belt. truck had sat for about two years, rust on pulleys makes for squeaky belts. B) when your truck sets for ANY length of time completely flush the old brake/clutch fluid out. you see it's hydroscopic (I think that's what it's called) it absorbs water from the air and then contaiminated the fluid. my fluid was cool at start up but heated due to the proximity of the exhaust and the water in the fluid expanded, taking away the frreplay. ;)
