Land Cruiser Nav System

I bought a 2004 LC two months ago without the owner's manual. The nav system will not let me delete and enter a new address while driving (like my BMW will). I have to come to a stop to do so. The service tech says this is the way it is programed. Is he correct?

Yes, that's a feature. Most of the nav system functions are disabled while the car is moving. That's to prevent you from playing with it and taking your attention away from driving.
