I was thinking about going to check this beauty out.

I'm new to these forums and love toyotas, my parents have been driving them since i was tyke. I previously owned a camry 89, which was a tank when it came to durability.

I was wondering if you guys could help me out with this, like what types of questions should i ask...

i have no idea what new MVI is.

so please guys, help me out. I need a small truck for this summer, nothing hardcore offroad driving, but something to move a little stuff here and there.

find out - certified? e-tested?

what do you guys/gals think :)

I looked at this truck as well sometime ago. For the price it really is not that bad, and it has been for sale for a while now. I believe it has over 300 000 kilometeres and some areas on the box are rough (around the wheel wells). For the price of $2,200.00, what really can you be asking for?

It definitely requires some paint however.

I held out for a 4X4 which I just got several weeks ago.

This is my second T100 and they are good trucks.

MVI is new Motor Vehicle Inspection (Nova Scotia's equivalent of "certified").

See if the head gaskets were repaired (they always go on the 3.0 liter motors) and when the last time the timing belt was replaced (they should be replaced every 100 000 kilometers).

Plus, the T100 is more of a mid-size truck than a small truck

the guys not that good on the emailYeah, it's in Burnside on Ilsley Avenue. The guy has about a dozen or so vehicles there. I cannot remember if it is an automatic or not, but i do remember the mileage is quite high. I would take a drive over and take a gander. Like I said, it's on Ilsley Avenue in Burnside (same street as Performance Autoworld/Subway/Dairy Queen etc).

The box is rough around the wheel wells (that much I do remember). He was originally asking between 3 - 4 thousand for the truck but it has been quite a while and the price has dropped quite a bit. Go and take and look at take it for a drive.

I would definitely ask if the timing belt and head gaskets were done. I never spoke to the guy either and just took a drive in to see it on the lot.
