Front inner wheel bearing not available, why?

Is it hard to remove inner wheel bearing race in front hub of 1993 T-100 2wd? Dealers no longer sell the inner bearing and race, you have to buy the hub with inner and outer bearings installed, for $175! Maybe there's a reason? I ordered inner bearings on internet via PartsAmerica.com but haven't installed them yet. Thanks for your advice.

The reason the dealer sells it that way is to make more money on spare parts. Cheaper for them to make and sell as an assembly. If they sell it as an assembly they can charge more than if they were to sell the individual parts separately. --my $.02 I was planning to do this to my 1993 T100 the next time that I am due for brake rotors.(which will be in the next few months) I have checked around and all of the local auto parts stores carry the bearings for inside the front hubs. From looking at the manual it does not look difficult. Good luck.

I appreciate your answer. All car companies charge what ever they can get away with, that's certain. I will go ahead and tap out the race's and if I have problems, I can walk them in to a garage I have used, and let them put the bearings in the hubs. Thanks again.
