Sorry, forgot to post where..
Follow this link and it will take you to the site where they sell them. I called the gentleman just see if he had one for out model car, and he actually said yes,.. and he said several XRS owners have already puchased them and reported that they did install and work correctly!!

I only paid 144.95...
I would never pay 235 for a short shifter,.. ive owned to many to pay that kind of money.

I called him up, and asked him the specs, because his website didnt specificly say it was for the XRS,.. and he told me that it was, and it worked successfully more than once,..
and I told him if it was below $150 dollars to send it to me, and he charged me $144.95 with free shipping to my work place.
If you look on the website, its listed there, the very top one,. it doesnt come with a shift knob like the other ones for $239, but it does come with the factory threads, so you can put the factory shift knob back on it.

Ok that's better...because the factory knob is the shiznit! :naughty: But still US $150 for a piece of steel. Hummm...when are the TRD folks gonna get their act together and start offering parts rather than stupid rad caps??? :disappoin

i used a shifter for the cellica. it works but i had to modify it to fit. i bent it 30* and had to use plastic to fill in the gap that was left by the end. they were a little to small. im not complaining though because i got it for 35 bucks shiped. hahaha. oh ya it shortens it a whole 2" hahaha

Just so everyone is clear, our TWM short shifter does fit the XRS Corolla. The price for the shifter is a straight up $144.95. The price you were thinking of ($235) was for the shifter and weighted Gun Metal or Flat Black shift knob, it's a combo price. You can check out the page here.

144 isnt so bad actually. if it shifts smooth. the best thing you can do though is to add a weight to the linkage on the trans. i used the cellica weight and cut it off and welded it to the same piece on my trans. you cant use the one from the celica because it pulls up and down and the xrs pulls side to side. the other idea i have now is to use the link off a tc. its visually the same accept for the weight. ill let you know next week.
