I am looking at buying 1 of three toyota pickups 2 are 97 tacomas and 1 is a 96 t-100. One of the tacomas has 94k miles and is priced at $10800 and the other has 117k miles and is priced at $6500. The t-100 is priced at $8800. All three are four wheel drive extended cabs. Any ideas or things to look for. They are all 1 1/2 to 2 hours away, any information would be greatly appreciated. The 97' tacoma for $10,800 doesn't have any power accesories. I have never owned a yota. Thank so much:clap:
I think you will find they all have power steering. My personal view is the lack of power accessories is a plus--there is that much less to fail, though the reliability record for Toyotas is better than most. It might be worth having a mechanic look over your choice before finalizing the deal.

The only real problem that I can recall is the problem they had with leaking or blown headgaskets. Toyota did do a recall on the 3.0V6 for that problem.
Other than that, there's not too much to wory about those trucks all sound pretty clean. If the condition of all are the same I'd get the 117K mile Tacoma, it's alot less and it has the power accessories(i like power everything)
Do a search on www.customtacos.com and www.ttora.com for alot of good info.
