Still looking into a xb but want feedback on the heating and cooling systems. Will the AC cool these hot humid Chicagoland summers and will the heater be toasty for those frigid Chicago winters? All you Californians don't know what I mean. Have lived in both areas so I know.
thanks
Al

Yeah, it'll do the job, only thing is they take longer than most cars to start working right away.

AlWorks fine, but I agree it does take a little bit to warm up in winter. runds in 2nd gear for about a minute or so, a tiny bit longer in real cold weather. I'm talking New England wealther.

I live in Georgia and have a 05 camo xB and have not had any problems with the AC. Love the box.

I am in Seattle WA, I know what you guys are probably saying “it rains up there all the time and it is cold.” Well last week we had temps in the mid 90's and my new xB's AC does not get as cool as I expected it to. I drove for over an hour. I has actually just picked up the box from having my mods installed at the dealer and the corolla they had given me as a loaner was like a freezer (nice and cool). I also have an 01 accord and it gets cooler than my xB. I mean the xB blows cold not like it is broken or anything, but it could be cooler compared to other cars out there.

My xB blows 39-40 degrees (F) in these hot East Texas summers.

I keep mine garaged (at home and at work) so I find both heating and cooling to work just fine in New England (Boston area). If you don't garage it, a remote starter is a good idea. While more expensive than you can get elsewhere, I would have Scion (Toyota) install it.
